Be with us to: The 11th edition of The International Salon of Naïve Art - S I A N Bucharest, Romania, the 6 th of December 2011 - 8 th of January 2012// Iaşi, Romania, the 16th of January – 10th of February 2012 The National Centre for Preservation and Promotion of the Traditional Culture, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and National Patrimony, organizes the 11th edition of the International Salon of the Naïve Art – S I A N, in Bucharest – the exhibition halls of the Romanian Peasant Museum, the 6th of December 2011 – 8th of January 2012 and in Jassy, the 16th of January – 10th of February 2012. This invitation is addressed to naïve artists as well as to naïve art galleries that want to get in touch with the Romanian naïve artists. Each author can send at the most five works accompanied by the list and the entry form (curricular data of the author). The work dimensions must be between 30/30 cm to 100/100 cm. Frameworks should be of good quality, hangers fixed. Works should be sent until the 30th of October 2011 (Postal date) for SIAN, to CNCPCT - 1, Presei Libere Square, Corp B1, 5th floor, sector 1, 013701 Bucharest, Romania. The jury will award, for two sections, naïve painting and sculpture, the First, the Second and the Third Prize. The jury has the right to award or not some of the prizes. The organizers reserve the right to keep one work awarded in the Salon, with the formal accept of the artist. Shipping and insurance costs are to be paid entirely by the sender, as well as related expenses, in particular the fees customs transit agents for bringing the works in and out of the country. The organizers will cover mail return expenses for the works, but does not assume responsibilities for loss or damage during transportation. The organizers will invite the authors of the selected works for prizes and support full accommodation for the opening day of the Salon in Bucharest. The invited artists will support the transport fees to Bucharest and return. Other artists, gallerists, critics etc. are accepted if they support all fees (transport and full accommodation). Entry for the Salon is free, but implies full acceptance of the above regulations.
